Delivery Terms - IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ
Fuel Storage Tanks Ltd supplies fuel storage tanks and related equipment throughout the United Kingdom. We operate from our UK office and all orders are fulfilled by out approved UK manufacturers and suppliers. We do not have a physical retail showroom and all purchases must be made online or by contacting our office.

Delivery Method
Due to the size and weight of our products, deliveries are made using one of the following methods;
- Palletised freight (kerbside delivery)
- HIAB/crane-assisted delivery (where specified or required)
- Large goods vehicle delivery for oversized tanks.
Unless stated otherwise, all deliveries are made to kerbside only and therefore customer offloading may be required
Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive and inspect the goods before signing. Deliveries can be left in a safe place at your own risk. If goods are left unattended and go missing or become damaged, we cannot offer replacements or refunds.
Estimated Delivery Times
We aim to deliver all orders as quickly as possible. Delivery times include handling and transit:
- Accessories: 2 - 5 working days
- Standard tanks: 3 - 10 business days
- Large or heavy items: 5 - 14 business days
- Custom-made items vary (please enquire at the time of ordering)
Estimated lead times are shown on product pages and confirmed after order placement.
Please note: Delivery times are estimates and times may vary depending on manufacturer workload, location, and transport availability.
Any delays will be communicated via email. Some orders may arrive in multiple deliveries if items are shipped from different warehouses.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges vary based on:
- item size and location
- delivery location
- whether HIAB/crane offloading is required
- supplier used for fulfilment
The shipping cost for standard UK Mainland postcodes (see 'Delivery Areas' below) is calculated automatically at checkout once a valid postcode is entered. If automatic calculation is not available - such as for a non-standard delivery area or where assisted delivery is required - we will provide a quotation before the order is confirmed.
Delivery Areas
We deliver to Mainland United Kingdom (England, Scotland and Wales).
The shipping cost for standard UK Mainland postcodes will be calculated automatically at checkout once a valid postcode is entered.
Additional delivery charges may apply for certain areas, including but not limited to:
- Scottish Highlands and Islands
- Borders of Glasgow/Edinburgh
- Isle of Wight
- Channel Islands
- Isle of Man
- Anglesey
- Western Isles
- Shetland Islands
- Orkney Islands
- Isles of Scilly
- Northern Ireland
- Republic of Ireland (Southern Ireland)
The following postcode areas may also be subject to additional charges:
AB, BT, CA, CT, DD, DG, EH, FK, G, GY, IM, IV, JE, KA, KW, KY, LD, LL, ML, PA, PH, PO 30–41 (Isle of Wight), SA, SY, TD, TN, TR, ZE

Some products are only available for delivery to England and Wales. This will be clearly stated in the product description. If you’re located outside this area, please get in touch for a custom delivery quote.
Delivery Requirements
Customers must ensure;
- suitable access for large delivery vehicles
- someone is present to receive the delivery
- offloading equipment is available where required (unless HIAB is included)
If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues or no recipient being present, re-delivery charges may apply.
Important – Signing for Goods
By signing for a delivery, you confirm that:
- The packaging is intact
- The goods were received in acceptable condition
If any damage is discovered after signing, it will be the customer's responsibility to cover any collection or re-delivery charges.
We recommend inspecting all goods before signing. If packaging appears damaged, please refuse the delivery or sign as “damaged” and contact us immediately.
Dispatch & Communication
In most instances, an email will be sent with an expected delivery date. For large items, the transport provider or supplier may contact you directly to arrange the delivery.
A booked delivery service may be available on some products. If you have specific delivery instructions or timing preferences, please include them in the Customer Notes section during checkout.
Damage or Delivery Issues
Damage
All goods should be inspected upon delivery. Any damage or discrepancies must be reported to us within 24 hours at contact@fuelstoragetanks.co.uk including photographs where applicable.
Missing or Faulty Items
If any parts are missing or the items are faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
To resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please email contact@fuelstoragetanks.co.uk with:
- Your Order Number
- Photos of the item(s), packaging, and any damage
- A brief explanation of the issue
We may be required to provide this information to the manufacturer to process a replacement.
Delivery Charges & Failed Deliveries
Please ensure the product you order is the correct size and suitable for your needs. Standard tanks (non-customised) are returnable, but subject to:
- Return shipping costs (paid by the customer)
- A restocking charge
- Return in A1 condition
Due to the size and weight of our products, returns can be expensive. Please double-check your order before confirming.
Custom or special-order tanks are non-returnable. If a custom item is no longer required or ordered in error, it cannot be returned or refunded.
If a delivery attempt fails, the item will be returned to the depot and redelivery charges will apply.
