- Custom-made orders may take longer than standard items - please enquire at the time of ordering.
- Items may be shipped from different warehouses, so your order may arrive in multiple deliveries.
Delivery Method
Unless stated otherwise, all deliveries are made to kerbside only.
For large or heavy items, customer offloading may be required. Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive and inspect the goods before signing for them.
Deliveries can be left in a safe place at your own risk. If goods are left unattended and go missing or become damaged, we cannot offer replacements or refunds.
Important – Signing for Goods
By signing for a delivery, you confirm that:
- The packaging is intact
- The goods were received in acceptable condition
If any damage is discovered after signing, it will be the customer's responsibility to cover any collection or redelivery charges.
We recommend inspecting all goods before signing. If packaging appears damaged, please refuse the delivery or sign as “damaged” and contact us immediately.
Delivery Scheduling
A booked delivery service may be available on some products. If you have specific delivery instructions or timing preferences, please include them in the Customer Notes section during checkout.
Missing or Faulty Items
If any parts are missing or the items are faulty, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
To resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please email contact@fuelstoragetanks.co.uk with:
- Your Order Number
- Photos of the item(s), packaging, and any damage
- A brief explanation of the issue
We may be required to provide this information to the manufacturer to process a replacement.
Delivery Charges & Failed Deliveries
Please ensure the product you order is the correct size and suitable for your needs.
- Standard tanks (non-customised) are returnable, but subject to:
- Return shipping costs (paid by the customer)
- A restocking charge
- Return in A1 condition
Due to the size and weight of our products, returns can be expensive. Please double-check your order before confirming.
Custom or special-order tanks are non-returnable. If a custom item is no longer required or ordered in error, it cannot be returned or refunded.
If a delivery attempt fails, the item will be returned to the depot and redelivery charges will apply.

At Fuel Storage Tanks, we aim to be as clear and transparent as possible. That’s why our returns policy is visible on every product page and in the website footer. Clear policies help ensure mutual understanding and, ultimately, customer satisfaction.
While we hope you’ll be completely satisfied with your order, we understand that things don’t always go to plan. Below is everything you need to know about what is eligible for a return or refund - and how to proceed.
What is eligible for a refund?
Due to the size and weight of the products we sell, returns can be expensive. Before placing an order, please double-check that the product is the correct size and suitable for your intended use. If you need advice or support, we’re happy to help - just get in touch.
Important:
Returns must be requested within 30 days of the goods' arrival. Requests made after this period will not be accepted.
For standard products (no customisation):
- Return shipping must be arranged and paid for by the customer.
- Items must be unused, in ‘as new’ condition, and properly packaged.
- Refunds will be processed after inspection, minus:
- The original shipping cost
- A restocking charge of up to 20% (plus VAT)
If the returned product arrives damaged or in sub-standard condition, additional restocking charges of up to 50% may apply.
We recommend taking photos of the item before and after packaging to document its condition.
Faulty Products
If you believe your product is faulty, we will offer a full refund or replacement after inspection.
Customised Orders
Unfortunately, custom products are non-returnable.
An order is considered custom when any of the following apply:
- A non-standard configuration is selected
Custom orders are NOT eligible for return. Please ensure your selection meets your needs before placing the order.
How to request a return
Please either:
- Complete the returns form
- Email us at contact@fuelstoragetanks.co.uk with the following:
- Your order number
- Contact information
- Product(s) you’d like to return
- Reason for return
We will respond within 1 working day.
Note: Returns are not accepted at our registered address. Once your return is approved, we’ll provide the correct return shipping address.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect the returned items and confirm they are in the same condition as sent, your refund will be processed to the original payment method.
- Refund times may vary depending on your payment provider.
- If items are not packaged correctly and arrive damaged, a restocking charge of 20-50% may be applied.
Can I exchange my order?
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please place a new order.
